Tickets are purchased, a hotel and cab from Heathrow scheduled and the first night in the U.K. is set. Picked up a ton of medicines to take with me, including notes from the doctors saying I really need all these pills to live for the next few months across the Pond.
The last of the shirts and suits that I got for formals and nights at the Union are all gathered, new ties and pocket handkerchiefs are also packed. Two checked suitcases, a shoulder bag for the overhead (with all that medicine, a change of clothes, and a tablet in it) and the laptop backpack for the tools of my trade when I am there.
Getting a little more anxious and more excited as the days pass. A week after the new year, I am on a plane and headed for England. It’s getting a little more real as each day passes.
